국제 무역의 중요성 (국문)

우리나라는 1970~1980년 급격한 산업화로 많은 변화가 있었다. 그 중 가장 두드러진 변화가 수출 및 수입 증대로 인한 국제 무역의 증가였다. 일반적으로 무역 체계의 발달은 산업화, 세계화, 교통의 발달, 다국적 기업의 탄생 등에 커다란 영향을 준다. 전세계를 ‘지구촌’이라 일컫는 오늘날, 어느 국가도 국제무역 없이 삶에 필요한 상품 및 용역을 충족하기 어렵게 되었고 따라서 국가간 무역규모는 국력을 상징하게 되었다.
지하자원이 부족한 우리나라 역시 무역을 통해 경제적 이익뿐만 아니라 외국과 원활한 교류를 하고 있다. UN은 국가간 공정하고 안전한 무역을 가능케 하기 위해 여러 가지 법과 규제를 수립하였는데, 이러한 규제들은 WTO, UNICITRAL, UNIDROIT, HCCH, WIPO등 UN의 각종 기구 및 기관을 통해 집행되고 있다.
국제무역은 (원리의 측면에서 볼 때) 기본적으로 국내 상거래와 다를 바 없다. 즉, 국제 무역에서도 국내 교역과 같이 교역 당사자들은 동일한 이유로 서로에게서 상품을 사고 판다. 국제 무역이 국내 무역과 다른 것은 보다 많은 비용이 든다는 점과 더 큰 위험이 있다는 것, 그리고 국가간 법률 및 협약 등에 의해 제약이 있다는 것이다.
현재 우리나라는 약 60여개의 국가와 활발히 교역하고 있다. 우리나라는 자동차, 반도체, 전자 제품 등의 수출로 2013년 기준 약 5,596억달러(약 560조원), 수입 5,159억달러(약 520조원), 세계 무역 규모 8~9위를 기록할 정도로 무역강국이다. 우리나라는 앞으로도 무역을 지속할 것이고 시간이 지남에 따라 그 의존도는 증가할 것이라고 예상되는데, 무역품목 및 무역 대상국가의 다변화, 해외 원자재 시장의 적극 개발 등을 통한 원자재 수입 비중 축소 등의 노력 등이 필요한 실정이다.

※ 한국과 FTA(자유무역협정. Free Trade Agreement)
국가 간의 무역거래에서 관세장벽을 허무는 협정으로, 국제무역에 있어서 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 한국은 2004년 한-칠레 FTA를 시작으로 칠레, 싱가포르, 유럽자유무역연합(EFTA), 아세안(동남아국가연합), 인도, 유럽연합(EU), 페루, 미국, 터키, 콜롬비아에 이어 얼마 전 호주와 11번째 FTA를 체결하였고, 캐나다와 12번째 FTA체결을 앞두고 있다.

 

The importance of international trades (영문)

There has been rapid industrialized changes in Korea from 1970 to 1980. The most noticeable change is increasing in exporting and importing in international trade. In general, the advance of trading systems causes the developments in industrialization, globalization, and transportation, such as the creation of a large multinational corporations. Since we live in worldwide age, it is hard for any countries to maintain their lives without the other country's cooperations. Therefore, international trades between the countries means the one's power.
By doing the international trades. we, our nations, not only get economical benefits but also get smooth relationships between them. UN established many appropriate regulations and laws in order to make fair and safe trades for the countries. A number of organizations under the UN such as WTO, UNICITRAL, UNIDROIT, HCCH, WIPO are currently enforcing the regulations and punishing the violent.
International trade basically has no difference with domestic trade. In other words, the international trader have same purposes just like the domestic ones when it comes to selling and buying the products. the differences between the international trade and the domestic trade are that the international trades demand a much more money as well as more hazard. Not to mention, international trade has strict restrictions considering legislatives and regulations.
Currently, Korea is commercing with sixty countries. We are ranked 8~9th in the world trade volume with the amount of 5600billion dollars in exporting and 5200billion dollars in importing, which is mainly based on automobiles, semi-conductors as well as electronic appliances. Korea is looking forward to keeping relying on the international trades as the time elapses. For those reasons, diversity in products as well as countries are in a need to actively look for new markets.
